የዛሬ አንድ ሺሕ ዘጠኝ መቶ ሰባ አምስት ዓመት በዕለተ ዓርብ መጋቢት 27 ቀን 34 ዓመተ ምሕረት (5534 ዓመተ ዓለም) የክብር ባለቤት ጌታችን መድኃኒታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ስለ ዓለም ድኅነት በሥጋ የተሰቀለበት ዕለት ነው፡፡ በመጽሐፍ ቅዱስ እንደተጻፈው፡ ‹‹ከስድስት ሰዓት ጀምሮም እስከ ዘጠኝ ሰዓት ዓለም ሁሉ ጨለማ ሆነ›› (ማቴዎስ 27፡45) ፈጣሪዋ በዕንጨት መስቀል ላይ ተሰቅሎ ባየችው ጊዜ ፀሐይ ጨለመች፡፡ እርሱም ከእመቤታችን ከቅድስት ድንግል ማርያም የነሣትን ለባዊት ነባቢት የሆነች ነፍሱን ከሥጋው ለያት፡፡ ሐዋርያጴጥሮስ በሥጋ ምውት ሲሆን በመለኮት ሕያው ነው እንዳለ፤ ነፍሱ ከመለኮት ሳትለይ ከሥጋ ተለየች፤ በዚያ ጊዜ ሥጋ ከመለኮት ሳይለይ በዕንጨት መስቀል ላይ ተሰቅሎ ነበር፡፡ እንዲሁም ነፍስ ከመለኮት ጋር አንድ ሁና እሥረኞች ነፍሳትን ትፈታቸው ዘንድ ወደ ሲኦል ወረደች፡፡ (1 ጴጥሮስ 3፡18-19)

One thousand nine hundred and seventy-five years ago today, Friday, March 27, 34th year of mercy (5534 years of the world) is the day when our glorious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was crucified for the salvation of the world.  As written in the Bible: "From six o'clock until nine o'clock the whole world became dark" (Matthew 27:45).  And he separated his soul from his body, which was raised from our Lady, the Holy Virgin Mary.  Apostle Peter said that he is dead in the flesh but alive in the divine;  His soul was separated from the body without being separated from the divine.  At that time, the flesh was crucified on a wooden cross.  And the soul, becoming one with the divine, descends into hell to free the captive souls.  (1 Peter 3:18-19)

እርሱ ከሰማያት በላይ ከፍ ከፍ ያለ ልዑለ ባሕርይ ከአብ ከመንፈስ ቅዱስ ጋራ በጌትነቱ ዙፋን ተቀምጦ ያለ፣ ለእርሱም ምስጋና የክብር ክብር ገንዘቡ የሆነ ራሡን ሰውቶ ያዳነን የመንግሥቱን ደጆች በፈሳሽ ደሙ የከፈተልን ለእርሱ ስግደት አምልኮት ይገባዋል፡፡

ለዘለዓለሙ የመስቀሉም በረከት በላያችን ይደር፤ አሜን፡፡

✥ ሆሳዕና = የአብይ ጾም ፰ኛ ሳምንት ✥

"ሆሳእና በአርያም ለአምላክነ ሆሳእና ቡሩክ ለመድኃኒትነ ዘይመጽእ በስመ እግዚአብሔር"
«ሆሳዕና» ቃሉ ከሁለት አረማይክ ቃላት የተሰራ ሲሆን ትርጉም «እባክህ እርዳ፣ አሁን አድን» ማለት ነው። እብራይስጡም ይህንኑ ቃል ወርሶ « הושענא » ሆሻአና ሲል ይገኛል። አዎ «አሁን አድን፣ እባክህ እርዳን» ብሎ የአዳም ዘር ያጣውን ልጅነትና የደረሰበትን ሞት ለመላቀቅ የሚያሰማው የጩኸት ድምጽ ነው፣ «ሆሳዕና»!!!
ዳዊት ነቢይ በመንፈስ ቅዱስ ተመልክቶ ማዳኑን ሲጣራና አሁን ናልን ሲል ከዘመናት በፊት አድምጠነዋል። የውስጥ ዓይኖቹ ሩቅ አይተዋል። ማዳኑንም ሽተው እንዲህ ሲል ዘምሮለታል።
«አቤቱ፥ እባክህ፥ አሁን አድን አቤቱ፥ እባክህ፥ አሁን አቅና» መዝ ፻፲፰፣፳፭
ጌታችንና መድሃኒታችን ኢየሱስ ክርስቶስ ከኢያሪኰ ከተማ ወደኢየሩሳሌም ሲወጣ ካረፈባት ከቤተ ፋጌ መንደር ሁለቱን ደቀ መዛሙርት ልኰ ውርንጫይቱን ከታሰረችበት ፈትተው እንዲያመጡለት አዟል።
«ወደ ኢየሩሳሌምም ቀርበው ወደ ደብረ ዘይት ወደ ቤተ ፋጌ ሲደርሱ፥ ያንጊዜ ኢየሱስ ከደቀ መዛሙርቱ ሁለት ላከ፥(ማቴ ፳፩፤፪) እርሱም በአህያይቱ ጀርባ ላይ ተቀምጦ ወደኢየሩሳሌም ከተማ መጣ።
ያን ጊዜም በቀደምት አበው የተነገረው ትንቢትና ዝማሬ ፍጻሜ አገኘ ።
«የሚቀድሙትም ሕዝብ የሚከተሉትም። ሆሣዕና ለዳዊት ልጅ በጌታ ስም የሚመጣ የተባረከ ነው፤ ሆሣዕና በአርያም እያሉ ይጮኹ ነበር» ማቴ ፳፩፣፱
በነገው እለት እኛም እንደእየሩሳሌም ሰዎች ይህን በአል በማክበር የምንዘምረው ዝማሬ ትልቅ ትርጉም አለው። መቅደስ አይተናልና።ነገር ግን «ሆሳዕና በአርያም » እያሉ መዘመር ብቻውን ዋጋ የለውም። ኢየሩሳሌም ተዘምሮባት ነበር። ግን ፍሬ የሌለባት በለስ በመሆኗ ደረቀች። በሚያምር ውብ ድንጋይ ፵፮ ዘመን የታነጸውን መቅደስ ማዳን አልቻለም። ተራሮችን ውደቁብን እስኪሉ ድረስ የወረደውን መከራ መሸሸግ የቻለ ዝማሬ አልተገኘም። የተቀበሉትም ፍሬ አላፈሩም። ስለዚህ በጭፍራ ተከበው ለሺህ ዘመናት ጠፉ።
በእድሜአችን ስንት «ሆሳዕና በአርያም» አሳለፍን? ማዳኑ በተደረገለት ማንነታችን ውስጥ ስንት ፍሬ አፈራን? የተራበው ኢየሱስ ከእኛ የሚፈልገውን ፍሬ ይዘናል? ወይስ ፍሬ አልባ ሆነን ለቁጣ የተዘጋጀን እንሆን? የማዳን ስራውን በህይወታችን ኖረን በሰማይ በአርያም ለቅድስና በቅተን በንጉሱ መንበር እና በቅድስት ድንግል ማርያም እናቱ ፊት እለት እለት በምስጋና ለመቆም ያብቃን።

The Palm Sunday story comes to life in the Bible in Matthew 21:1-11; Mark 11:1-11; Luke 19:28-44; and John 12:12-19. The Triumphal Entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem marks the high point of his earthly ministry

Palm Sunday is a celebration for honoring Jesus Christ's victorious entry into Jerusalem. While this was a joyful, special occasion for his followers, this event took place towards the end of his days on Earth before being crucified. This also considered the first day of Holy Week and the Sunday before Easter, commemorating Jesus Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem. We celebrate April 16 2022./ሚያዚያ ፱ ፳፻፩፬። Ethiopian calander.

The EOTC, Orthodox Christian community all over the world celebrates following the Julian calendar. This marks the beginning of Holy Week, historically the most sacred time of year for Christians.

******እንኳን አደረሳችሁ*****

1. ✥ Hosanna = 8th week of fasting ✥
   "Hosanna and Aryaam to God, Hosanna and blessing to Zeimuta, in the name of God."
   The word "Hosanna" is made up of two Aramaic words meaning "Please help, save now".  The Hebrew inherits this word and says "הושענא" Hoshaana.  Yes, "Save us now, please help us" is the voice of the cry of Adam's seed to release his lost childhood and death, "Hosanna"!!!
   We listened to Prophet David centuries ago when he looked at the Holy Spirit and asked for salvation and now we have it.  His inner eyes saw far.  He smelled his salvation and sang to him.
   "Lord, please, save us now, Lord, please, save us now" Psalm 118, 25
   When our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ left the city of Jericho for Jerusalem, he sent two of his disciples from the village of Bethphage, where he stayed, and ordered them to release the colt from where it was tied and bring it to him.
   "When they approached Jerusalem and reached Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two of his disciples, (Matthew 21:2) and he sat on the back of a donkey and came to the city of Jerusalem.
   At that time, the prophecy and song of the previous abbot came to an end.
   "And the people who go before and those who follow.  Hosanna to the son of David, blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.  They were shouting Hosanna in the air" Matthew 21:9
   The song we will sing tomorrow, as the people of Jerusalem, in celebration of this festival, has a great meaning.  We have seen a temple, but singing saying "Hosanna in Aryaam" alone is not worth it.  Jerusalem was sung to.  But because it was a fruitless fig, it withered away.  He could not save the temple built in the beautiful stone age.  There was no song that could hide the suffering that came down until they said that the mountains had fallen.  And those who received it did not bear fruit.  So they were surrounded by hordes and disappeared for thousands of years.
   How many "Hosannas" have we spent in our lifetime?  How much fruit have we produced in our redeemed selves?  Are we carrying the fruit that the hungry Jesus wants from us?  Or shall we be unfruitful and prepared for wrath?  Let us live the work of salvation in our lives, and let us stand in the presence of the King's throne and the Holy Virgin Mary, his mother, in thanksgiving every day.

ሥርዓተ ቅዳሴ።

ቅዳሴ በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ዋነኛ አምልኮተ እግዚአብሔር መፈጸሚያ ነው። ይህ ዋነኛ የሆነ የቤተ ክርስቲያኑ መንፈሣዊና ሃይማኖታዊነትን የሚገልጽ እንደ ወርቅ ማዕድን የሆነ ነው። ይህ አምላካዊ ግልጋሎት መግለጫ የሆነው የኢየሱስን በመስቀል ሞቱንና ትንሣኤውን የሚያከብርና ያለማቋረጥ ለሰው ልጆች የተሰጠውን የሕይወት ፍሬ ሁል ጊዜ የሚያሳይ ነው። ስለሆነም የቤተ ክርስቲያናችን ቅዳሴ ሁለት ዐበይት ነገሮችን ያካትታል፣

1. ልዑል እግዚአብሔርን የሚያመሰግንና ስለማያልቅ የፀጋ ስጦታው ማክበር ነው።

2. ቅዳሴ አዲስ መስዋዕት አይደለም ወይም የቀራንዮን መስዋዕትነት መድገም አይደለም። ይኸውም እውነተኛውና ንፁሑ የእግዚአብሔር በግ ለአንድ ግዜ ብቻ ተሰውቷል። ቅዳሴ የድኅነትን ሥራ የሚያረጋግጥ ማኅተም ነው። በዚህም የሚታየው ቤተ ክርስቲያን በአማኞቹ የሚገለጽ ነው (ካህናቱንና ምዕመናኑን ያቀፈ ነው) በዋነኛነት ሊጠቀስ የሚገባው የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ ሥርዓተ ቅዳሴ የመንፈስ ቅዱስን ሥራ የሚያንጸባርቅ መሆኑ ነው። በሁሉ የቅዳሴ ዓይነቶች ውስጥ ሙሉ ክርስቶስ የሚገለጽበት እንጂ የእርሱ ግማሽ አካል ብቻ የሚታይበት አይደለም።

1. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit  One God Amen

Ethiopian  Orthodox believers are strict Trinitarians, maintaining the Orthodox teaching that God is united in three አካል Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This concept is known as səllasé (ሥላሴ), Ge'ez for "Trinity". Daily services constitute at large part of an Ethiopian Orthodox Christian's religious observance. Ethiopians Orthodox Christians, believe in the Holy Trinity (səllasé) of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. we also observe typical Orthodox rituals and practices –The principal feasts of the church are nine feasts of the Lord, thirty three feasts of our Lady, the feasts of the Apostles, Sunday, Saturday, the feasts of the Angels, the feasts of the righteous (saints) and the feasts of the martyrs.

The feasts of our Lord are divided into nine major feasts are: His conception, Christmas, Epiphany, Transfiguration, Palm Sunday or hosanna, Good Frida, Easter, Ascension and Pentecost.

The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church (Amharic: የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን,^[1] Yäityop'ya ortodoks täwahedo bétäkrestyan) is the largest of the Oriental Orthodox Churches. One of the few Christian churches in sub-Saharan Africa originating before European colonization of the continent,^[5] the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church dates back to the acceptance of Christianity by the Kingdom of Aksum in 330,^[6] and has between 36 million and 49.8 million adherents in Ethiopia.^[2][3][4] It is a founding member of the World Council of Churches.^[7] The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church is in communion with the other Oriental Orthodox churches (the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church, the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria, the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, the Armenian Apostolic Church, and the Syriac Orthodox Church).

The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church had been administratively part of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria from the first half of the 4th century until 1959, when it was granted autocephaly with its own patriarch by Pope Cyril VI of Alexandria, Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church.^[8]

Tewahedo (Geʽez: ተዋሕዶ) is a Geʽez word meaning "united as one". This word refers to the Oriental Orthodox belief in the one perfectly unified nature of Christ; i.e., a complete union of the divine and human natures into one nature is self-evident in order to accomplish the divine salvation of mankind, as opposed to the "two natures of Christ" belief commonly held by the Latin and Eastern Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, Lutheran, and most other Protestant churches. The Oriental Orthodox Churches adhere to a miaphysitic Christological view followed by Cyril of Alexandria, the leading protagonist in the Christological debates of the 4th and 5th centuries, who advocate the nature of the Word of God.

ሥርዓተ ቅዳሴ።

ቅዳሴ በኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ዋነኛ አምልኮተ እግዚአብሔር መፈጸሚያ ነው። ይህ ዋነኛ የሆነ የቤተ ክርስቲያኑ መንፈሣዊና ሃይማኖታዊነትን የሚገልጽ እንደ ወርቅ ማዕድን የሆነ ነው። ይህ አምላካዊ ግልጋሎት መግለጫ የሆነው የኢየሱስን በመስቀል ሞቱንና ትንሣኤውን የሚያከብርና ያለማቋረጥ ለሰው ልጆች የተሰጠውን የሕይወት ፍሬ ሁል ጊዜ የሚያሳይ ነው። ስለሆነም የቤተ ክርስቲያናችን ቅዳሴ ሁለት ዐበይት ነገሮችን ያካትታል፣

1. ልዑል እግዚአብሔርን የሚያመሰግንና ስለማያልቅ የፀጋ ስጦታው ማክበር ነው።
